On behalf of the Spotlight Theatre, I invite you to treat yourself and your loved
ones to an exciting new one-woman show, Stronger than the Wind, appearing at the
Spotlight for one night only, Saturday, May 30, 2015.
Stronger than the Wind is making its way across the United States after delighting
audiences in Boston, New York, Vail, and Los Angeles. Award-winning actress,
playwright, and mother of four Alice Manning takes you on a journey of laughter, tears
and wonder as she relives her family’s seven-year odyssey. Alice’s strength,
determination, spirituality, and sense of humor provide insight and inspiration into the
richness of life with all its twists and turns.
Alice has appeared on the New York stage many times, including the longest
running solo play in off-Broadway history, Family Secrets. She taught acting at Harvard
University for five years, toured Europe, the United States and Canada with the USO,
and performed with the American Repertory Theatre and the National Players
Shakespeare Company. (To learn more about Alice, visit AliceManning.com.)
Doors open at 6:30 PM and the show starts at 7:30. Tickets are just $15 and may
be reserved by calling (661) 374-0344 or emailing AtTheSpotlight@gmail.com. Tickets
will also be available at the door — if any are left!
I look forward to seeing you at the Spotlight Theatre on_May 30.
P.S. I saw Stronger than the Wind in Sherman Oaks earlier this year and couldn’t wait to
share it with my friends in Bakersfield.
